The Catholic Diocese of Wichita, established in 1887, serves the people in the Southeast region of Kansas. The diocese meets the pastoral needs of 120, 527 Catholics. To serve the people and carry on the mission of the Church there are 91 parishes, 32 elementary schools and four high schools. Would you consider serving as a priest for the Diocese of Wichita?
Priests serve the diocese in many different roles. The priest celebrates the sacraments, celebrates Mass, hears confessions, and baptizes. However, there are many other ways he serves. A priest must shepherd all of the Church, the young as well as the old, through his daily living out of the Gospel.
In the Diocese of Wichita, priests serve as: Pastors, High School Chaplains and Teachers, Hospital Chaplains, Spiritual Directors, University Chaplains and Teachers, Prison Ministers, Youth Ministers, Retreat Directors.

Prayer For Vocations
Heavenly Father, bless our diocese with the grace of many vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, grant to those You have called the willingness and generosity of spirit to give themselves in devoting their lives and their talents to the service of our Lord and to His Church. Increase the faith of all within our diocese, and particularly the faith of those You have called and will continue to call. We ask this through Christ, Your Son. Amen.
