In simple terms, podcasting refers to the distribution of media files (typically an audio file in MP3 format) over the Internet.
Podcasting is popular because it makes it very easy for you to:
Automatically check for new media content (shows, songs, etc.);
Download that content to your computer (automatically if desired); and
Transfer the audio files to a media player (e.g., play on your computer, an Apple iPod or any other MP3 player).
We are beginning to build our Multimedia Library. We have completed a Religous Education Series titled "God's Positioning System" written by Msgr. William Carr. We have also posted talks from the 2007 KARE Conference and we have compiled a Bishop Jackels Multimedia page also.
